Erice is a tiny walled city on the top of a hill. It's just above Trapani and you can take a funicula to get there. (OR....I could have tortured Dick by making him drive up the incredibly steep, twisty, narrow little road.) The views from the funicula were specatacular. This is the city of Trapani as viewed from the funicula.The duoma in Erice is very simple from the outside. The inside is very unique in that it is all done in stucco carved to look look like the lace that's made in the city. This is the ceiling of the church with the lacy stucco.
